Terms and Conditions

All booking through website or email or over phone are subject to the following terms and conditions.

  • Tour booking will be subject to availability on requested date.
  • Payments – we would require 50% advance payment within 05 days of booking tour to confirm service and same can be made through bank transfer and remaining payment can be made at 30 days prior to the date of travel.
  • All our tours are provided by our office based in Delhi.
  • Tour listed on website are priced in local currency and are converted in USD/Euro/GBP through exchange rate. For exchange rate please ask The Vacationalist for currentday's selling rate.
  • Upon booking of tour / service you will receive email confirmation with necessary details like, pick up timing / meeting location / brief description of tour and inclusions / emergency contact number.
  • Looking at the security aspect, it is mandatory to forward us scanned copy of passport and valid visa. Same ID proof will be required for identification on the day of tour / accommodation.
  • 5% discount is offered to students and minors below 13 Years accompanied with family.
  • Any service booked 180 days prior to the date of tour is liable for discount of 5% on total billing.
  • Refund for unused services (refer to cancelation or amendment policy)
  • We strongly recommend each guest should take personal travel insurance to cover cancellations or delays due to unforeseen reasons (beyond human control). Travel insurance is a third party subject and recommends that you must read the policy before booking.
  • As mentioned elsewhere the services of The Vacationalist are limited to planning and executing the journey and hence shall not be liable for any death, personal injury, sickness, accident, delay, loss, damage, default, deficiency that may be caused to a Client or any third person resulting from the Client's or third party's use of the products and services of the Service Providers/Suppliers.
  • The Client shall be responsible for the safekeeping of their luggage, valuables or any other property/security carried by them on the journey and The Vacationalist accepts no liability of any kind for any loss of luggage, valuables, travel documents, insurance policies or any such property/security of the Client or persons travelling with him, whether caused by act, omission, negligence or otherwise, while undertaking a journey, using the services or arising from any booking.
  • In case any site or part of tour booked is closed due to force majeure, including strikes or any other unseen reason, The Vacationalist will contact each booked client, to update on the situation and advise alternative available date or partially refund booking amount as per cancelation policy.
  • These terms and conditions are in agreement with Indian law and in case of dispute that can’t be settled cordially, will be subject to jurisdiction of the New Delhi, India.

Cancellation Policy – including refund, amendment & cancelation

To achieve highest level of service with local destination insiders, our cancelation and amendment are subject to charges. This policy is applicable for any booked client thru The Vacationalist.

Amendments:

After the initial booking for a particular journey and related services, if any written request is received from the Client for any amendment; such as change of destination, change of departure date, addition or deletion of services, change in number of passengers or such other change the same will be acknowledged from an authorized person of The Vacationalist. In the event the amendments requested for involve further costs the same shall be borne by the Client. Further such requests will be entertained subject to availability and at the sole discretion of The Vacationalist.

Cancelations:

The Vacationalist will accept cancellation requests in writing only. The computation of cost for the purpose of cancellation commences when the written request is received at the The Vacationalist office on a working day within working hours.

The following charges are payable by the Client for request of cancellation received:

  • From booking date to 61 days prior to departure date: 25% of the total tour cost ;
  • 60 -31 days prior to departure date: 50% of the total tour cost;
  • 30 days prior to departure date: 100% of the total tour cost.

Cancellation charges may vary or more stringent charges may apply depending upon the destination, structure of the package or The Vacationalist Supplier’s policy.

No Shows:
  • In case of no show, The Vacationalist will not be liable for any refund or amendment of tour.

Refunds:

Refunds (if any) for amendments and / or cancellations will be paid directly to the Client by The Vacationalist. It would take at least 45 days to process the request for refunds. In case of refund of Foreign Currency component, the said refund shall be made in Indian Rupees only at the prevailing buying rate (as advised by The Vacationalist) on the date of refund. Bank charges will be deducted from the refundable amount.

NO REFUND will be payable in case the Client does not utilize any of the services (e.g., Accommodation, Meals, sightseeing, excursions etc) included in the journey and no such claim shall be entertained in any manner whatsoever.
